PwDs and unemployment is increasing at an alarming rate. The increase of unemployment for PwDs is due to the discrimination by employer towards them and suggested self-employment to increase work opportunity for them. Within this context, disabilities are common in every country in the world. However, not many PwDs are employed. Unfairness still becomes the main issue for PwDs as not much opportunities to support and guide them thus, unemployment rate among them is growing in Malaysia. This study looks into several cases in Kuala Lumpur to understand on the factors that make PWDs sustain in business. It is shown that, four factors that are the main points in this study are knowledge on start-up business and managing risk, financial support, motivational environment and networking. The results of the study highlighted that three factors that include knowledge on start-up and managing risk, financial support and motivational environment, show positive results in helping in sustaining these entrepreneurs with disabilities in their businesses. For the last factor which is the networking, researcher found that the networking for entrepreneurs with disabilities are low. This article provides compelling evidence that people with disabilities are more than capable of supporting themselves as business owners as long as they receive all necessary assistance from the government or relevant non-governmental organizations (NGO).
